DreamSprout

Privacy Policy

A clear guide to the information DreamSprout uses to run the site and connect an owner's YouTube channel.

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Overview

DreamSprout helps adult channel owners create and manage gentle bedtime stories and learning adventures for young audiences. This policy describes how we handle information when you visit our website, use a DreamSprout account, or choose to connect a YouTube channel.

Information we collect

Account and workspace information. When you create or use an account, we process information needed to provide the service, such as your sign-in details, workspace membership, and the publishing content you choose to create or manage.

Website analytics. We use basic analytics to understand how the website is used, such as page visits and interactions. Depending on your browser and site settings, analytics may use cookies or local storage to recognize a browser session and measure site performance.

Messages you send us. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message so we can respond and support the service.

YouTube and Google OAuth

DreamSprout uses Google OAuth only when a workspace owner chooses to connect that workspace's YouTube channel. We request the YouTube Data API youtube.upload and youtube.readonly scopes to verify the connected channel and, when directed by the owner, upload videos and their publishing metadata to that channel.

To establish and operate that connection, we process the Google authorization response, the granted scope, the connected channel's ID, title, and thumbnail, and the credential needed to continue authorized uploads. The credential is stored in encrypted form. We do not ask for or receive your Google password.

An owner can disconnect YouTube from DreamSprout. When that happens, DreamSprout removes the locally stored channel connection details and credential. We may also ask Google to revoke the connected credential; Google's response can depend on its service availability.

DreamSprout uses Google API data only to provide the channel connection and owner-directed YouTube publishing features described in this policy. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve DreamSprout, authenticate users, maintain workspaces, provide requested publishing features, protect the service, understand aggregate site activity, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve issues, meet legal obligations, or support legitimate business operations. We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Children and family content

DreamSprout creates tools for adult owners who publish children-focused content. The service is not designed for children to create accounts or connect channels. Our publishing workflow is designed to support made-for-kids settings for applicable uploads, and channel owners remain responsible for reviewing their content, audience settings, and platform obligations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the service change. We will post the updated version here and revise the date at the top of this page.
